The Role:
Deliver engaging and effective Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 maths lessons, aligned with the AQA GCSE syllabus.
Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and inspire students, using a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support student achievement and exam preparation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum and departmental initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive learning environment and uphold the school’s high expectations.
The Ideal Candidate:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching maths at KS3 and KS4 level.
Have proven experience teaching the AQA GCSE maths syllabus, including exam preparation and assessment strategies.
Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
Be an effective classroom manager and proactive team player with strong communication skills.
Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already in place.
Able to provide references covering the last 5 years of employment or study.
