Our specialist education recruitment agency is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Pontypool. With increasing demand for classroom support staff, we have short-term, long-term, and permanent opportunities available.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant in a primary setting, you will:
Support pupils across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2
Work 1:1 or with small groups of children
Assist pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
We Are Looking For:
Experience working with children (school, nursery, care, youth work, or similar)
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
