Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Winsford. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and enjoy working in a variety of school settings.

We work with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in the Winsford area, offering opportunities to gain experience across different year groups and classroom environments.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.


Due to the location of the schools, a driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and activities
• Working across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2 depending on school needs
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
• Experience working within a school or educational setting (desirable)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
