The Role
• Teaching a Year 2 class and delivering lessons that are creative, engaging, and tailored to pupils’ needs
• Supporting children’s development across reading, writing, maths, and phonics
• Preparing pupils for Key Stage 1 assessments in a supportive and encouraging manner
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Creating a classroom environment where children feel motivated, safe, and included
• Tracking pupil progress and adapting learning where needed to support achievement
The Ideal Candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within KS1, particularly Year 2, is desirable
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment process
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• A positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
• Someone who works well as part of a team and is committed to making a difference in the classroom
