New Directions is seeking an experienced and highly organised School Business Manager to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school based in North Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in supporting the strategic and operational management of the school, helping to create the best possible environment for pupils, staff, and the wider school community. This is a full time permanent role starting in September.
Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, you will oversee the school’s business operations, ensuring effective management of finance, administration, premises, compliance, and resources to support excellent educational outcomes. The Business Manager is expected to take a strategic role in the planning of improvements to the school
which further improve the financial value of provision and services. They are also responsible for ensuring
that all aspects of those areas managed meet the reporting requirements and standards of Ofsted, the DfE,
the Local Authority, School Financial Value Standard (SFVS) and other relevant bodies.
The Role
• GDPR Compliant or willing to undertake training
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
• Sound knowledge of school based software e.g. MIS and finance systems
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning
The Ideal Candidate
• Level 4 diploma for school business managers or equivalent.
• Significant experience of working successfully in a school and/or business environment and/or successful senior finance and administrative role
• Is committed to raising standards and supporting student success.
• Have a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting the well-being of all students.
