Flexible Agency Work | 1-3 Hour Shifts | Various Cardiff Locations
We are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to work across a range of primary schools throughout Cardiff on a flexible agency basis.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with children or in a supervisory, educational, childcare, care, coaching or customer-facing environment who are looking for flexible, part-time work during school hours.
The Role
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring pupils remain safe, happy and well supervised during their lunch break. Duties may include:
Supervising children in the dining hall and playground
Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
Promoting a safe and inclusive environment
Responding appropriately to minor incidents and concerns
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Reporting any concerns to the appropriate member of staff
Essential Requirements
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Previous employment, voluntary work or transferable experience involving responsibility, supervision, customer service or working with children and young people
Excellent reliability and punctuality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work confidently and proactively within a school environment
The ability to travel to schools across Cardiff
Important Information
Please note:
This is an active role that involves supervising groups of children both indoors and outdoors.
Candidates should be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions, including rain and colder temperatures.
Shift lengths typically range from 1 to 3 hours per day.
Assignments are available across a variety of primary schools throughout Cardiff.
