New Directions Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in primary schools across Chester and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who have recently graduated and are looking for their first teaching role to gain valuable classroom experience and begin their teaching career.
We work with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools, offering opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, including short-term, long-term, and potential temp-to-perm positions.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
• Delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary age range
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback where required
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Developing confidence and experience as an early career teacher
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS
• Have recently graduated or be looking to secure their first teaching role
• Recent primary school teaching placement experience
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A good understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)
