New Directions Education is looking for caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools in Buckley, supporting pupils who need additional help to access learning and reach their full potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can build strong relationships with children, adapt their approach to suit individual needs and provide consistent, nurturing support throughout the school day.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with additional learning needs.
• Supporting the child to access classroom activities and engage with learning.
• Adapting activities and communication to meet the child’s individual needs.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour where needed.
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to ensure the child receives the best possible support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting is desirable.
• A caring, patient and compassionate nature.
• The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Someone who is adaptable, resilient and able to think on their feet.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
