Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Female P.E Teacher to join a secondary school in Liverpool on a full-time basis from September through to December. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who can deliver enjoyable, inclusive, and purposeful Physical Education lessons while encouraging pupils to develop their skills, confidence, and teamwork.

You will be responsible for teaching P.E across KS3 and KS4, working with pupils of varying abilities and helping them make positive progress both physically and academically. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive school community with a strong commitment to pupil development and participation.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality P.E lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting activities to accommodate different abilities and levels of experience.
• Create a positive and well-managed environment where pupils feel encouraged to take part and challenge themselves.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide appropriate feedback to support continued development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has previous experience teaching P.E at KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school setting.
• Has strong subject knowledge across a range of sporting activities and physical education.
• Is confident managing practical lessons while maintaining high standards of behaviour and safety.
• Is enthusiastic, approachable, and able to motivate pupils of different abilities.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and work effectively alongside other members of staff.

Requirements

• References covering the previous 5 years.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience teaching P.E across KS3 and KS4.
• Availability from September through to December for the full duration of the placement.
