Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting qualified Primary Teachers across Chester and the surrounding areas, offering flexible teaching opportunities to suit a range of availability and preferences.

Whether you are looking for day-to-day work, short-term placements, longer-term opportunities or greater flexibility around your existing commitments, we can offer a range of roles across local primary schools.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Taking responsibility for the classroom and ensuring a positive learning environment
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning needs
• Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations
• Working alongside school staff to ensure continuity of learning
• Assessing and monitoring student progress where required
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff
• Following school policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
• Working across a variety of primary school settings depending on your preferred availability

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• The ability to confidently manage a classroom
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
• The ability to quickly build positive relationships within new school environments
• A professional and reliable approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
