Job Description
New Directions Education are currently recruiting qualified Primary Teachers across Chester and the surrounding areas, offering flexible teaching opportunities to suit a range of availability and preferences.
Whether you are looking for day-to-day work, short-term placements, longer-term opportunities or greater flexibility around your existing commitments, we can offer a range of roles across local primary schools.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
The Role:
Delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Taking responsibility for the classroom and ensuring a positive learning environment
Adapting teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning needs
Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations
Working alongside school staff to ensure continuity of learning
Assessing and monitoring student progress where required
Building positive relationships with students and school staff
Following school policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
Working across a variety of primary school settings depending on your preferred availability
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within a primary school setting
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
The ability to confidently manage a classroom
A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
The ability to quickly build positive relationships within new school environments
A professional and reliable approach
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
