Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support, Cheshire West and Chester

Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with additional learning needs (ALN) within an early years setting in Blacon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and nurturing Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for supporting young children and helping them develop their confidence, communication and independence.

The role is Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm, starting ASAP.

The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ALN
• Supporting the child with their learning, development and engagement
• Helping the child access a range of EYFS activities and experiences
• Supporting communication, social development and independence
• Encouraging positive interactions and participation
• Adapting activities and support to meet the child’s individual needs
• Building a positive and trusting relationship with the child
• Working closely with the EYFS team to provide consistent support
• Supporting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 2 qualification in Early Years / Childcare / Teaching Assistance
• Previous experience working within an EYFS or early years setting
• Experience supporting children with ALN is highly desirable
• A patient, caring and nurturing approach
• The ability to build strong relationships with young children
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to adapt activities and approaches to meet individual needs
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• A reliable and professional approach
