New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with additional learning needs (ALN) within an early years setting in Blacon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and nurturing Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for supporting young children and helping them develop their confidence, communication and independence.
The role is Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm, starting ASAP.
The Role:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ALN
Supporting the child with their learning, development and engagement
Helping the child access a range of EYFS activities and experiences
Supporting communication, social development and independence
Encouraging positive interactions and participation
Adapting activities and support to meet the child’s individual needs
Building a positive and trusting relationship with the child
Working closely with the EYFS team to provide consistent support
Supporting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Level 2 qualification in Early Years / Childcare / Teaching Assistance
Previous experience working within an EYFS or early years setting
Experience supporting children with ALN is highly desirable
A patient, caring and nurturing approach
The ability to build strong relationships with young children
Good communication and teamwork skills
The ability to adapt activities and approaches to meet individual needs
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
A reliable and professional approach
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
