New Directions Education is currently looking for a Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher to work on a supply basis in welcoming primary schools across the Harrogate area.
This role is ideal if you’re looking for flexible teaching work, whether you’re an experienced teacher, an ECT, or returning to the classroom and wanting to maintain a healthy work–life balance.
About the role:
As a Supply KS1 Teacher, you’ll step into local primary schools to support learning in Year 1 and Year 2. You’ll be teaching using pre‑planned lessons, creating a positive classroom environment, and helping children feel confident, supported, and engaged in their learning.
Your role will include:
-Delivering engaging and age‑appropriate lessons across the KS1 curriculum
-Creating a warm, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
-Supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour, and wellbeing
-Following school routines and policies
-Working alongside friendly and supportive school staff
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic about early learning
Feels confident managing a classroom
Is reliable, adaptable, and passionate about primary education
