New Directions Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to work within primary schools across Bradford and the surrounding areas. We want to hear from you if you have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a Key Stage 1 setting.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements for KS1.
• The ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to raising attainment and supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential.
• A passion for creating positive learning experiences that inspire and motivate young learners.

Job Specification

Working as a KS1 Teacher can be incredibly rewarding, requiring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to helping pupils build confidence and develop the fundamental skills needed to progress throughout their education. You will work closely with support staff, school leaders, and parents to ensure every child receives high-quality teaching within a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform future planning.
• Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL requirements.
• Support pupils in developing strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, and wider curriculum subjects.
• Promote positive behaviour and establish clear classroom expectations.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other members of staff to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
• Build effective relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress and development.
• Prepare pupils for statutory assessments and support them in achieving their potential.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in events, activities, and school initiatives.
