We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a Key Stage 2 setting.
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to raising standards and supporting every child to achieve their best.
• Experience preparing pupils for end-of-Key-Stage assessments, including SATs.
• A passion for motivating, inspiring, and challenging young learners.

The Role

Working as a KS2 Teacher is both rewarding and varied. You will play a vital role in supporting children through an important stage of their education, helping them to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills required for future success.

You will work collaboratively with school leaders, support staff, and parents to provide a stimulating learning environment where pupils feel valued, supported, and encouraged to excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence, resilience, and a love of learning.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate pupil progress, using data to inform planning and targeted interventions.
• Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL needs.
• Develop pupils’ skills across English, Mathematics, Science, and the wider curriculum.
• Support pupils in preparing for statutory assessments, including KS2 SATs where appropriate.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for achievement and conduct.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other staff members to maximise pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of pupil progress and achievements.
• Encourage pupils to become confident, independent learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
• Contribute to the wider school community through school events, enrichment activities, and extracurricular opportunities.
