New Directions are seeking dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to cover on a supply basis in supportive and inclusive schools based in Rhondda Cynon Taff. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering across KS1 and KS2 classes.
Requirements
HLTA or Level 4 qualification.
Experience working with children in an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and age groups.
Plan and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
Provide cover for teachers during planned absences.
Monitor and assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Support pupils with diverse learning needs and promote inclusion.
Contribute to the development of a positive and engaging learning environment.
Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies.
