New Directions Education are currently recruiting Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants for primary schools across Chester and the surrounding areas, supporting teachers and students across a range of year groups.
These opportunities are ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants looking for flexible work, as well as candidates looking to gain experience across different primary school settings.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
The Role:
Supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Helping students access and engage with their learning
Supporting students with a range of abilities and additional needs
Delivering interventions and reinforcing learning where required
Supporting positive behaviour and student wellbeing
Preparing classroom resources and activities
Building positive relationships with students
Working closely with teachers and other support staff
Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable
Experience supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Good knowledge of supporting children’s learning and development
A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build positive relationships with students
A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s progress
A strong understanding of safeguarding
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
