New Directions are looking to appoint an experienced school administrator, to work on a temporary supply basis in various primary schools in Cardiff.
Due to the nature of supply work all applicants should be flexible and reliable, and willing to work in different schools covering both long and short-term staff absences such as sickness or maternity. The usual working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, term time only.
All applicants must be proficient using the School Information Management System (SIMS) and have previous experience collating dinner money, recording attendance and paying invoices. Previous experience working as a school administrator/receptionist is essential and all candidates must be adaptable and confident in running a busy school office.

Duties are varied and may include the following:
School office staff must be well organised as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience working within a school office. Working knowledge of SIMS system is advantageous.
Schools will expect all school support staff to have a good standard of education, some previous office work experience and ideally previous experience working working within an educational setting.
