Job Description

A primary school based in Cheshire West have approached New Directions to help them find a teacher to teach within their year 4 class. This role will start as soon as possible and will continue until Summer 2024. It is on a full-time basis working with a lovely class.

The school are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • You must be able to be warm and understanding with an ability to grow strong relationships with students
  • You will have fun and engaging teaching methods that enable students to achieve to their fullest potential and enjoy learning
  • You can work with other members of staff and communicate feedback to the relevant people

Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum
– Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
– Take part in extracurricular activities and school events when required

As a primary school teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
