We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Sefton. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school is committed to delivering a broad and engaging science curriculum and is looking for a teacher who can inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will deliver General Science, with knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to KS4 desirable. Experience teaching all three disciplines to at least KS3 is essential.
The Role
• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach a balanced curriculum covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations with a focus on progress and attainment
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS (ECTs welcome)
• Experience teaching General Science across KS3
• Knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to KS4
• A commitment to raising standards and supporting pupil achievement
