New Directions Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher with experience supporting pupils with sensory needs to work within specialist provisions and schools across Leeds.

The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including sensory processing difficulties.
Use sensory-based approaches and strategies to engage learners and promote positive outcomes.
Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals.
Monitor and assess progress, adapting learning programmes where required.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Experience supporting pupils with sensory needs and sensory-based learning approaches.
Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
A patient, adaptable, and child-centred approach.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
