New Directions Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a small, welcoming primary school in Bootle.
The role will involve supporting children with low-level SEND needs within a mainstream classroom, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and make steady progress. The school has recently made a significant investment in its outdoor and forest school provision, which plays an important role in supporting engagement and wellbeing.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils with low-level SEND in a mainstream setting
Working alongside the class teacher to adapt learning and provide targeted support
Supporting learning through outdoor and forest school activities
What we’re looking for:
Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable
A patient, nurturing approach and strong teamwork skills
Confident supporting learning both indoors and outdoors
Able to pass an enhanced DBS and provide recent references
