Job Description

New Directions are currently recruiting for experienced and confident Additional Leaning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to work in a Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Unit within a Secondary School in Carmarthenshire.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three months’ experience of working within a classroom environment. You may be required to support pupils on a one to basis so experience in this field would be advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • Experience working in an Additional Learning Needs environment;
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment;
  • Good knowledge of the National Curriculum;
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
