We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and who are willing to work flexibly in both classroom support and 1:1 pupil support roles.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences and help pupils reach their full potential within the classroom.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils during lessons and learning activities
Working with small groups to reinforce learning
Providing 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance
Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Essential Requirements
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
Experience working with children or young people in a school, childcare, coaching, youth work, care or similar setting
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A willingness to undertake both general classroom support and 1:1 support responsibilities

Confident working independently when providing 1:1 support

Able to travel to schools across Cardiff
