Are you a passionate and energetic Teaching Assistant who loves being active and working closely with children? A primary school on the Wirral is looking for a dedicated TA to provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil on a full-time basis.
This role would be ideal for someone who is sporty, active and enjoys working outdoors, as you’ll be spending lots of time with the pupil taking part in sporting and physical activities.
About the Role
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil
Building a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil
Supporting the pupil with their learning, engagement and confidence
Spending regular time outdoors and taking part in sporting and physical activities
Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
Supporting the pupil to engage positively with school life
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a school setting
Experience providing 1:1 pupil support would be highly desirable
A confident, patient and encouraging personality
Sporty and active – you’ll be spending lots of time outdoors!
Someone who enjoys engaging children through physical and sporting activities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A positive, energetic and flexible approach
A genuine passion for supporting children to thrive
