New Directions Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and adaptable Year 3/4 Teacher to work in a welcoming primary school in Chester. This is a part-time role (Monday and Wednesday), ideal for a teacher who is confident working across lower Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering engaging lessons to a mixed-ability class.
The school is a supportive and community-focused setting with a strong emphasis on inclusion and pupil wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively to provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment, supporting children of all abilities to succeed and develop confidence in their learning.
The Role:
• Delivering engaging and effective lessons to Year 3 and Year 4 classes
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet a wide range of abilities, including pupils with SEND
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 and/or Year 4
• Confidence in supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
• A good understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
