New Directions Education are seeking a flexible and committed PPA Teacher to join primary schools across Chester and surrounding areas. This role is perfect for enthusiastic teachers who enjoy delivering lessons across different year groups and providing high-quality cover during class teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
Candidates must be able to commit to 3 or more days per week due to the nature of this role.
The Role:
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
• Maintaining continuity of learning while class teachers are on PPA
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Creating an inclusive, engaging, and positive classroom environment
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners
• Providing clear feedback to class teachers on pupil progress
• Supporting wider school activities and initiatives when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting
• Confident classroom management skills
• Flexibility and confidence to teach across multiple year groups
• Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
• A proactive, professional, and positive approach
• A solid understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
