New Directions Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in primary schools across Crewe. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children in their learning and helping them to reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive school environment.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be able to commit to 3 or more days per week.
The Role:
• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and active engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Preparing classroom resources and supporting lesson setup
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working in a primary school or educational setting (desirable)
• A patient, caring, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting young children
