Job Description
An excellent opportunity is available for a passionate and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Liverpool for a full-time position from September through to December. This role would suit a teacher who can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons while inspiring pupils to develop a strong understanding of the world around them.
The successful candidate will be teaching Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting pupils with their academic development and helping them build confidence across the subject. You will be joining a supportive department with a strong focus on delivering high-quality teaching and achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
The Role
Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities.
Cover a variety of topics across the Geography curriculum, maintaining high levels of pupil engagement.
Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment where pupils feel encouraged to participate and succeed.
Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
Work collaboratively with the wider Geography department and other members of staff.
Follow school policies and contribute to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school setting.
Has strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, purposeful lessons.
Is confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Is adaptable, reliable, and able to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Is passionate about helping young people achieve their academic potential.
Requirements
References covering the last 5 years.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4.
Availability for the full duration of the placement from September to December.
