We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and celebrated.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs. Your role will be vital in helping children build confidence, develop independence, and experience success both academically and socially.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of SEND needs.
  • Support teachers with differentiated and engaging learning activities.
  • Help students with their academic progress, emotional wellbeing, social development and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and other learning difficulties.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting young people with SEND is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable and confident supporting students with additional needs.
  • Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
