New Directions are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Gorton. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils across the school and working closely with the class teachers.
The Role
Supporting pupils across the primary age range with their learning and development.
Working alongside class teachers to provide effective classroom support.
Providing 1:1 and small group support where required.
Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
Delivering interventions to support pupil progress and development.
Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive relationships with pupils.
Supporting pupils with additional needs where required.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Working as part of the wider school team to support pupils and staff.
The Candidate
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
Previous experience working in a primary school is required.
Confident supporting pupils across different year groups.
Experience delivering interventions and providing 1:1 or small group support.
Good understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patient and adaptable, with the ability to respond to different pupil needs.
Available to start work ASAP.
