The Role
Full-time Teaching Assistant role supporting pupils with SEND
Working within a mainstream school environment
Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs
Collaborating with teachers, the SENDCO, and wider support staff
Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with a range of SEND needs both inside and outside the classroom
Assist with the delivery of learning activities tailored to individual student requirements
Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence
Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and emotional development
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience working with children or young people, ideally those with SEND
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Is committed to supporting the learning and wellbeing of every pupil
Relevant qualifications or previous SEND experience are desirable but not essential
