SEND Teaching Assistant (SLD)

Location Aston B6, Birmingham
Contract Type Full-time, Monday to Friday (ONLY APPLY IF LOOKING FOR FULL TIME) Term-time only Long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent
Pay £92.52 – £102.83 per day £462.60 – £514.15 per week
Job Purpose
We are currently looking for a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in Aston.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching & Learning Support
Provide learning support on a 1:1 basis
Assist with personal care where required
Support communication and engagement activities
Encourage independence and development
Work alongside teaching and therapy teams
Promote pupil wellbeing
Person Requirements
Experience working with complex needs or SLD
Patient and compassionate approach
Comfortable supporting personal care
Strong teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two satisfactory references
Qualifications
No formal qualifications required.
Relevant experience including:
