Teaching Assistant, Vale of Glamorgan

Job Description

We are seeking creative individuals to provide one to one support and general classroom cover with children in schools in the Llantwit Major area of Vale of Glamorgan. We have multiple positions available including long term work and general day to day ongoing basis. This is a brilliant opportunity to work closely with a pupil in need of additional support.

You must have experience of working in primary or secondary schools and have the ability to inspire, motivate and engage.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates that have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, and have experience working alongside pupils with additional learning needs.

The role will require you to attend a number of meetings with the class Teacher to help plan and deliver lessons that meet the child’s individual needs. You may also be required to liaise with parents and assist to compile reports on the child’s progress.

We can offer an array of In-House training courses, and the suitability of these would be discussed with your dedicated account manager. The opportunity for further training is available and actively encouraged.

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:

• Ideally experience working in an ALN environment or from a care background
• An excellent track record
• Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
