New Directions Education is seeking a supportive and motivated Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 2 class in a vibrant South Manchester primary school. This long-term role offers the chance to help pupils grow in confidence as they prepare for Key Stage 2.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils during whole-class teaching, small groups, and targeted interventions
Assisting with reading, writing, maths, and broader curriculum tasks
Encouraging positive behaviour and independent learning
Providing extra support for pupils who may need a confidence boost or additional help
Working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning
What we’re looking for:
Experience working in KS1 or with primary-aged children
Friendly, adaptable, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and organisational skills
A genuine desire to make a difference
