Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant for Year 4 Class

Location: Primary School in Ellesmere Port

Start Date: After May Half Term 2024

Duration: Until the end of the summer term 2024

Schedule: Monday to Friday

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a Year 4 classroom team at a friendly primary school in Ellesmere Port. This is a wonderful opportunity to support the educational development and wellbeing of young learners in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
– Support individual students with their learning and development
– Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
– Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing educational experience for all students
– Provide additional support to students with special educational needs, if required

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
– A patient and friendly demeanour
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the classroom
– Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
