Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in primary schools across Middlewich. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who have recently graduated and are looking for their first teaching role to gain experience and begin their career within primary education.

We work with supportive primary schools offering opportunities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, including short-term, long-term, and potential temp-to-perm positions.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Developing confidence and experience as an early career teacher

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS
• Have recently graduated or be looking for their first teaching position
• Recent primary teaching placement experience
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach
• A good understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children’s development
• A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)

All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
