We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a part-time supply position at a school in Ellesmere Port. This role involves working one-to-one with a student in Foundation Stage 1, requiring experience in SEN, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the summer 2024.
Position: Learning Support Assistant (Part-Time, One-to-One)
Location: School in Ellesmere Port
Schedule: Part-Time Supply Basis, 3.5 Days a Week
Responsibilities:
– Provide one-to-one support to a student in Foundation 1 with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion and engagement in all activities
– Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised education plans and provide targeted support based on the student’s needs
– Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment, promoting the student’s social and emotional development alongside academic progress
– Utilise appropriate strategies and resources to effectively engage and motivate the student with specific learning needs
Requirements:
– Prior experience working one-to-one with children with special educational needs is essential
– Strong understanding of SEN practices and a proactive approach to supporting the individual needs of the student
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff and parents/carers
