New Directions Education is currently recruiting dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of welcoming and supportive schools in Harrogate.
About the Role
As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in primary school settings.
Working across a variety of schools, you will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
This is an ideal opportunity for those seeking flexible working arrangements while gaining experience in different school settings.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
ADHD
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Moderate learning difficulties
Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities
Implement EHCP targets and individual support strategies
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Provide consistent emotional and academic support
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs
